Another important doctrine of the Bible is redemption. Redemption in through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, not be anything we do. It is through his blood and by his grace that we obtain the forgiveness of sin. Ephesians 2:8,9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; So you see there is nothing we can do to earn redemption. Therefore Christ obtained our redemption for us. This redemption is not just for one sin, or for one day, or for one month, or for one year. But rather for eternity. Hebrews 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
It is through his blood that we are saved not through the blood of an animal or another sinner, but rather through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the spotless, sinless, Lamb of God. With the blood of a lamb or goat you must needs offer a sacrifice continually, and there is no possibility that you would be redeemed by the death of another human, for he would only be paying for his own sins. It therefore must be the blood of one who was perfect and without sin, spotless, and their has only ever been one person who could ever forfill this need. His name was Jesus.I Peter 1:18-19. Let’s take a look at Hebrews 9:22-28. So you see there was a necessity that blood be shed and Jesus Christ was the only one that could be offered up for our sin. All this made possible by the grace of God. For Christ had not the grace that he displayed he may just have deiced that he did not want to suffer for all man kind and that he maybe he would not even come down to earth. Do you not realize the amount of Grace Christ must have had that he would humble himself and come and die for Adams sinful race? Our minds can not even imagine the glory of Christ in heaven sitting at the right hand of God. This was such a sacrifice to lay aside his glory and majesty. To come and be born in a stable, to live among humans for 33 years, you think that people are hard to deal with and you are just another human being yourself. Christ was God almighty and had to deal with all the frailties of a human body all the while being God. This is the greatest act of Grace you will ever see. 2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
