A message I preached a year ago.
Today I want to talk about creation and the fact that there is a creator. By just reading your Bible you will clearly see that there is a creator.
The Bible says in Genesis 1:1 (the first verse of the Bible) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. It really is that simple God says what He means and means what He says, and He says he created everything so we can be sure he did just that.
Isaiah 40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.
Isaiah 40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
Isaiah 42:5 Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
By looking at these verses we can see God did it, so don’t let anyone tell you we came from nothing billions of years ago.
Isaiah 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
God also created man, but why? Why did God create man and everything else?
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
We were created for God’ pleasure, and therefore everything we do should please God.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
We need to remember our Creator or else we will worship the creature more than the Creator.
Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
We should ask like David did for God to create a clean heart in us.
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Good is not finished with his creation, he has yet to create a new Heaven, a new earth, and a new Jerusalem.
Isaiah 65:17-18 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind. But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create: for, behold, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.
Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
We should keep looking for that new creation!
